Dubuque, Iowa, April 19, 2002 - After an extended sale process, EAGLE Window & Door Inc. is officially sold.

David Beeken, President of EAGLE Window & Door, confirmed that an offer was approved with a financial buyer to purchase the Dubuque-based manufacturer. EAGLE has been purchased by Linsalata Capital Partners, a Cleveland-based private equity investment firm. The transaction will be finalized by early May.

Beeken called the sale "excellent news" for EAGLE and its employees. "With the new ownership, we will be able to focus on what we do best – building quality windows and providing unparalleled service and support."

Shortly before it was announced the company was up for sale in 2000, EAGLE made the commitment to its employees and the city of Dubuque, Iowa to build a new state-of-the-art facility to help further their dream of becoming the window brand of choice in the upper-end residential and light commercial markets. Now in its new 390,000-square-foot facility, EAGLE remains extremely profitable and has doubled in size since 1996. Says Beeken, "we're poised for growth and success. We’ll continue to expand into new markets and unveil innovative products, which in turn will bring new jobs and opportunities for our employees."

Always a leader in innovation, EAGLE was the first company to introduce an extruded aluminum-clad wood window in the late 70's.
